Citizen Kane by Jorge Luis Borges

few days ago were held 70 years after the premiere of one of the masterpieces of cinema, we are talking about Citizen Kane by Orson Welles. Much has been written about this movie, but it is important that we now read the criticism that was Jorge Luis Borges in August 1941, published in the legendary No. 83 South Magazine.

Citizen Kane (whose name in Argentina is the citizen) has at least two arguments. The first, an almost banal stupidity, like bribing the applause of the very distracted. It is formulated as follows: a vain millionaire builds statues, gardens, palaces, swimming pools, diamonds, vehicles, libraries, men and women in the likeness of a previous collection (which is traditionally attributed observations of the Holy Spirit) finds that these miscellaneous and plethoras are vanity of vanities and all is vanity, at the moment death, long for a single object in the universe a sled due to the poor in his childhood he has played! The second is far superior. Koheleth joins the memory of the other nihilistic: Franz Kafka. The subject (both metaphysical and police, both psychological and allegorical) is investigating the secret soul of a man, through works he has built, in the words he has spoken of the many destinations that has broken. The procedure is that of Joseph Conrad's Chance (1914) and the beautiful film The Power and the Glory: Rhapsody heterogeneous scenes, not chronologically. Overwhelmingly, endlessly, Orson Welles shows fragments of the life of Charles Foster Kane man and invites us to combine them and rebuild.

forms of multiplicity, of the irrelevance, abound in the film: the first scenes record the treasures amassed by Foster Kane, in one of the last, a poor woman suffering luxurious and playing on the floor of a palace which is also a museum, with a huge puzzle. At the end we understand that the fragments are not governed by a secret unity: the detested Charles Foster Kane is a simulacrum, a chaos of appearances (corollary possible, anticipated by David Hume, Ernst Mach and our Macedonio Fernández: no man knows who he is, no man is someone). In one of Chesterton's stories - The Head of Caesar, I think - the hero observes that nothing is as scary as a labyrinth without a center. This film is exactly the maze.

all know that a party, a palace, a large company, a lunch of writers and journalists, a friendly atmosphere of frank and spontaneous camaraderie, are essentially horrible, Citizen Kane is the first film that shows some awareness of that truth.

The execution is decent overall, the vast argument. There are photographs of admirable depth, photographs whose final plans (such as the Pre-Raphaelites fabrics) are no less accurate and precise than the former.

I venture to suspect, however, will remain as Citizen Kane "endure" some films of Griffith or Pudovkin, whose historical value is not disputed, but no one is resigned to review. It suffers from gigantism, of pedantry, of boredom. It's not smart, it's great: in the most nocturnal and most German of this bad word.

Katy B - On A Mission. Electronic tasteful without falling into the commercial

Crítica: Katy B - On A Mission. Electrónica de buen gusto sin caer en lo comercial

While in the U.S. was determined to offer more and more commercial music and direct consumption, it seems that UK is building an array of women who present us with proposals more serious, charismatic and much better taste. We have Adele ( spoke of it a couple of months ago ) to your personal Rumer soul, Jessy J with pop songs and R & B and the star of the post: Katy B .

With On A Mission , Katy B covers several genres, ranging always with a personal touch electronics pulling the bases and a little house and break beat hardcore.
In first you might think " I'm in a store Bershka! ", but once you adapt at least the sound of the album and listen to songs like Broken Record , the idea will be running in your head .
Broken Record ( See Youtube )

good thing about On A Mission is that almost all their songs have a rhythm differs enough of the rest. You could say that Lights On is one of the most suitable for direct consumption of the most rapidly becomes catchy, with Ms. Dinamyte as a partner.

Lights On ( See Youtube )

Katy On A Mission is the first single from the singer's debut album where you can already see from the outset that uses electronic more gusto than a commercial and opportunistic , as with the voice that has Kay B may well haber producido las canciones de forma acústica, y creo que quedarían igual de bien como resultado.

Katy On A Mission ( Ver en Youtube )

Inlcuso el tema que closes the disc with a Chill Out roll is good.

Crítica: Katy B - On A Mission. Electrónica de buen gusto sin caer en lo comercial

Best : Lights On, Broken Record, Katy On A Mission, Easy Please Me
worst : Movement, Disappear

With only 21 years (funny, the same having Adele) Katy B has managed to teach a lesson to many of how to make electronic music without losing the personality and without notice opportunism against the gusto.

Note: 7.5/10

Good Night!

thought not post anything today, but a while ago I received a comment that made me change my mind.
This week I do not know if you know, but many bloggers have had problems with blogs, on facebook I also read that some girls were having problems, which left me more relaxed as I thought it would be a widespread problem of blogger, who never usually last long.

Well, this week, I've had all sorts of problems, there are several blogs, in which Google has not let me comment, blogs I usually read and comment every day.

There was a day I could not upload my post ready for that day because no picture up for work .. bili birloke had all disappeared ... I almost feel something and this is the second time I occurs.

And the shot of all has been that there are blogs that have disappeared from my reading list, and the worst thing that's not the worst thing is that apparently some of these posts that have disappeared from my reading list , appears to them something like that I have ceased to follow them, go on your list of folowers have flown, and commented that this girl made me this afternoon, was I to spam, and "des was" blogging .... to which I have stayed in one piece .. because I do not know how anyone could think I'm going to take the trouble to go first to give, for a while after also bothering to stop continue ... hahaha

And I would clarify this, so if someone else has been what I would love to digest, because I dedicate myself to give to follow for the next day, do the opposite.

And after all this stuff ... plays give thanks several blogs friends

who has given me this award ... THANKS!

A http://diybeautytips.blogspot.com/
this other ... thank you very much

And http://bdebelleza.blogspot.com/

For this latest award, beautiful ... thank you very much!

http://esthermorethanmakeup.blogspot.com/ And, for this one ...

Thank you for thinking of me, for these awards, really.
And as I always say, I can hardly be divided among five or ten people only, then they are for all those blogs I read and I like both ..

I hope you continue enjoying the bridge, but turn to have it boiled, but hey, we can always take the opportunity to relax ..
Many kisses to all / as!!

Problems with Blogger Presentation Tommy Hilfiger-Winter 2011/2012

Hi!
in Madrid yesterday, Tommy Hilfiger has presented to the press and bloggers the next autumn-winter collection
A Showroom, to stay and live in it, cuidadosametne scenery, a fantastic collection and catering .. I have no words to describe.

With a selection of looks for men and women as seen in Fashion Week in New York.

Tommy Hilfiger Men's & Women

Tommy Hilfiger Childrenswear
boy and girl

Tommy Hilfiger Tailored
Tailoring and Men's Haberdashery

This collection does not disappoint me at all, on the contrary, I pleasantly surprised, but Hilfiger is sticking to his usual style. (Which I both like it).
In this collection, I would stay with their boots for women, its knit jackets trenchs fretwork and, of course those fantastic monkeys we saw on the catwalk New Yorker, and those bags in ostrich skin.

What you think about what you have seen?
May you happy day!

Isee Testing Mistakes

Chercher La Femme ... Guillermina Baeza

Hello !!!!!

I will not discover anything new, because this collection as we saw in the Fashion Week Madrid, Cibeles, but this designer has a few bikinis and swimsuits, spectacular ...
It is time to go looking at the bikini that will be with us this summer so I'm starting to keep an eye, and Guillermina Baeza, wins spot .... a lot.

The Cannes of the 50's and early 60's, is the inspiration for this designer in his new collection.
With a strong retro spirit, the firm recovers balconea model in bras underwire and padding to enhance the breast.
The coquetry of Brigitte Bardot in Cannes, is one that takes Guillermina Baeza, suggestive stakes for their designs, not to mention the swimsuit, but betting on the bikini.
The triquini disappears from this collection, but not culottes and honor.

Extraordinary
swimwear.

For my taste a collection that it can not make one iota .... PERFECT Guillermina Baeza

choice in my swimsuit, I think difficult because I like all and all I feel terrible too, but I have booked one or two that I was not going to escape.

do you have liked? Muakkkk

How To Start A Letter Of Reconsideration

Travel Guide to Paris. Meet the city in three full days

Song video : Surrounds Me First State feat. Ellie Johns

just a few days ago I returned from Paris and I have to say that I am still freaking charm and preciousness of this city , one of the most beautiful I've ever seen if Not the most (though not know much about the map, it must be said).
For those who have already visited the city at the head of the post you have a video montage I made the trip, if you will remember all those beautiful places. For those you have yet to go, take a look at post-directory where the commented most important things is to see and many of the things that should you have in mind when see the city.

To give you an idea of \u200b\u200bwhat time to see and how big it is, my trip was adding three full days night arrival and leaving early in the morning of the fifth day.

Preparing your trip: Flight, hotel and details to consider

Viaje a París - Preparando el viaje: Vuelo, hotel y detalles a tener en cuenta

If you go to Paris you should keep in mind that it is an expensive city and if you want to spend as little as possible have to go looking well take what flights, hotel, etc. For flight
can look on sites such as Ryanair, EasyJet, Vueling or what I do, which is looking into rumbo.es , if I see that the lowest fare belonging to different companies, bought from the same page. If they belong to the same company, go to the page itself and look for those same flights because you always leave something cheaper. For hotels
just look at booking.com , I think a page with an excellent service and highly recommended price relationships, as well as in most hotels can cancel your reservation without charge up to two days before, so if you find a better place with the passage of time can change without problems, as was my case. I finally left in the Du Maine Hotel (hotel page) , was the best quality / location / price would be.
At Easter, I got the flight for € 170 round trip, and the hotel for about 150 euros for four nights.

is also essential to know which destinations to going to go and what they have available for a service online ticketing because you can save a lot of queues. At Versailles, for example, we could have saved a queue of more than one hour between ticket purchase and entry into the palace. If you are under 26 or have a student card you can get free almost everywhere or at worst pay for a long entry smaller.

Moving through Paris, scheduling the visit and know the different means of transport

Viaje a París - Moverse por París, programando la visita y conociendo los diferentes medios de transporte

Depending on the time you have, it is advisable to select transport you're using and what lines you must take to go to different sites. If you go with time, it is advisable to go by bus everywhere as underground 'll miss the view of many city streets . If your time is inevitable take the subway, but on the other hand is much faster and easier to use.
For visits outside City as the Palace of Versailles or Disneyland, you must use close (RER) . For routes within the same city, should take a look at bicycle service called velib ( information page) , you can take a bike for only 1 €. It is very useful and fun but unfortunately I could not use it because it did not accept my card, I think that is only valid credit card and no debit.

When directed , if you have a smartphone with GPS and / or compass uses and download any Maps applications you have available. In my case I have a mobile android, not to spend large sums on Internet connections downloaded an application called Locus ( link) that allows the card to download maps google maps , I was really useful to go tour of the city.

For more detailed information, you can consult the official web Paris Info (link ) totally in Castilian.

Day 1: Arrival at the city

Viaje a París - Día 1: Llegada a la ciudad
If
you in any low-cost airline, the plane will leave in the Beauvais Airport, whose only means of transport to the city is by bus and way there is worth 15 euros , leaving at Porte Maillot. You can check the bus schedules on the airport website, customized to hours of flight arrival and departure ( link).

arrived in Paris just in time to go to the hotel, so we took that Porte Maillot is next to the Arc de Triomphe (10 minutes walk) to be seeing a bit of Paris, a pity that access to the roof of the arch was closed is a good opportunity to see all the city lights from the sky.

Day 2: Visit the Palace of Versailles

Viaje a París - Día 2: Visita al Palacio de Versalles

Being able to see in about 4-5 hours, the Palace of Versailles has different hours and duties by day and season we are visiting, why should consult the official website (link ) to know the different times of the day or see when the waters get music and gardens.
The entrance to the gardens is free unless you have a show that day to enter the palace entrance fee is 15 euros or 18 if you want to see also the home of Marie Antoinette (the village is the best of the whole enclosure), if you are under 26 years do not need to buy entry simply by presenting your ID at the entrance to pass it, you only need to pay 6 euros if I had a show in the gardens, such as musical waters in the picture of the source.

To go to Versailles, RER C
Retrieved on page Paris Transport: http://www.transilien.com/web/ site
Leaving from Saint Michel - Notre Dame (Paris) at 7:19.
Versailles Rive Gauche Arrive at 7:57 am (38 minute ride).
IDA ticket price: 3.05 €
should go as early as possible to avoid queues and see the rooms with less people ( groups guided tours are especially troublesome, as they stand at every door and bother to spend)

Very important: if you buy tickets online you have to specify the day that you will go to visit. If you know what day you go I advise you to buy because you're going to save time in queues.

Day 2: Getting Notre Dame, the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower

Viaje a París - Día 2: Conociendo Notre Dame, el Louvre y la Torre Eiffel

we got back from Versailles, RER C off at Saint Michel - Notre Dame , leaving just the cathedral. To enter the church in a queue is quite long but it moves pretty fast, you can also go to the top of the cathedral, which is necessary to make another queue and access was already closed, so if you want should go up quite early.

After seeing Notre Dame can go walking by the river up to the Louvre museum , given the short time we had not we see him inside and the outside view is much more beautiful if it is to see at night.

Just after we set sail to see the Louvre to the Eiffel Tower, the idea was to get dusk to view both day and night. was the perfect time to get to it taking a bike ride along the river , but we could not rent it because the bike rental system would not accept our card, so we went underground.

After arriving at the Eiffel Tower , you can climb to the second floor by stairs or by lift , Climb up elevator is worth about € 11.30, if you go up the stairs is worth a little cheaper: 5.70 €, and even less if you have a student card. For up to the third floor can only be done by additional lift is 5 euros.

From the Palais de Chaillot is very good views for a photo next to the tower . About 9 o'clock, just as it was getting dark, the Eiffel Tower turned on its lights and began to display only a few minutes extra sparkles, like a flash, pretty cool to see.

Travel in Paris: From four in the afternoon until ten p.m.

Day 3: Visit to Disneyland park and Disney Studios

Viaje a París - Día 3: Visita a los parques de Disneyland y Disney Studios

Since I love parks attractions theme and I love all the Disney movies I saw in my childhood ... no need to tell you what day we all had more fun, right?. Disneyland is something you have to see if you go to Paris not miss it for anything, just walk through all those scenarios filled and full of detail is a delight. The bad, like everything in Paris, queues for attractions.

First, it is essential to buy tickets online (link ) . Firstly because you can buy at a discount and secondly because you can just print and go to the park entrance turnstiles, no queues or anything. You can buy it at any time and go to the park over the next six months, before the ticket expires. Information Leaflet: http://folleto.disneylandparis.es/index.xhtml

Times (link )
Disneyland Paris: 10 am to 9 pm
Disney Studios: 10 am to 7 pm
Check in time is for the doors of the different worlds, the park can come even from half an hour earlier.

To go to Disney (RER A)
Retrieved on page Paris Transport: http://www.transilien.com/web/site Leaving
Châtelet - Les Halles (Paris) at 8:54.
9:34 am Arrive at Marne-la-Vallée - Chessy (Route 40 minutes)
IDA ticket price: 6.70 €

Fastpass: If you want to save more time (again) in queues, find out how it works Fast Pass. In the most popular attractions can pick up a Fast Pass ticket for free in one hour will be indicated that entry to the attraction , you can visit other sites in the park and at the right time to introduce the Fast Pass and skip the whole tail. Only you can use a Fast Pass for entrance to the park until it is consumed, then you can get another Fast Pass another attraction.

Please note that you will not poderte mounted in a single day to all the attractions of the park, so select all your favorites and ride the first one you will like.

Day 3: Louvre at night

Viaje a París - Día 3: El Louvre de noche

Back from Disneyland is a good time to be a walk in the Lovre night, the view is much most beautiful when all lit up (we had a full moon above!). Back in RER A can get off at Les Halles, which is about 15 minute walk from the museum. Les Halles is one of the most important commercial centers and large in Paris, if you want to shop you can spend an afternoon there. At the same time
took the opportunity to dine at one of the typical Parisian restaurants , these tiny tables and charming. Is an Italian restaurant called Pizza Oski ( link), it is not the most glamorous but it's pretty neat, simple, cheap (15 € per head) and they have menus both day and night.

Day 4: Tour Montparnasse, Pantheon, Sainte Chapelle, Paseo Seine, Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge

Viaje a París - Día 4: Torre Montparnasse, Panteón, Sainte Chapelle, Paseo por el Sena, Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge

the fourth day of stay in Paris (third full day) we had a map for the rest of important sites for our remaining seen in the city. From the south, rising to Montparnasse Tower skyscraper , from which is seen throughout the city from the top floor. Costs 10 € up to 7 € reduced price for youth.
is recommended before or after passing through the famous cemetery of Montparnasse , right side and go to route through the city heading north. through the Luxembourg Gardens , the Pantheon , and later walk the Latin Quarter, just south sticking with Notre Dame.

Around two went to see one of the most beautiful churches around Paris, the Saint-Chapelle , which has beautiful stained glass windows. Again, you can enter for free if you are under 26, otherwise the entry is 8 euros.
Just after seeing the church took the opportunity to relax giving a ride in one of the boats that take you across the River Seine .

finished the boat ride on the four. We route to the Champs Elysees , which had not yet seen. On his way, you will bump into the Place de la Concorde and the Petit Palais palaces and Palais de la Decouverte . Once arrived there, we took the metro towards Abbesses stop , one of the few metro stops from old Paris, near the Moulin Rouge area and Sacred Heart Basilica.

Travel in Paris: From 10 am to ten p.m.

Day 5: Visit to La Defense and from the airport

Viaje a París - Día 5: Visita a La Dèfense y vuelta al aeropuerto

The fifth and last day we had to go to Porte Maillot to catch the bus on the way to the airport at 10 am, so we took that very close is La Defense, a building that is a hollow square, the walls are 100 meters on each side . Surrounded by a multitude of skyscrapers and modern buildings of enterprises and offices, where almost all staff that crossed the site was in a suit and briefcase.
